How to pick the right rack for you
The right rack for you depends on how much space you have, the type of training you want to do and your budget. If you don’t have a huge amount of space readily available, and you want to be able to use your workout area for other things, a folding rack would be a good option. If you have a little more room and want a lot of functionality, a quarter rack or multi-function rack is a good choice. You can’t go far wrong with any of the racks available - the main differences that will decide on the best rack for you are the different functions available. Some racks have built-in cables so that you can hit all of your isolation exercises in one place, some have accessories available for dips and our multi-function rack even has a smith machine.
How to pick the right plates for you
Plates vary in size, shape and material depending on what you want to use them for, so it's important to think about the exercises you will want to do before buying your plates. Our packages come with Olympic bars as standard, so the plates you can choose from are all Olympic plates to fit the bar. Rubber coated plates tend to be most popular as they offer added protection to both the plate and your floor if they are dropped. They are also ideal for deadlifts, as every weight is the same height. Tri-grip plates are available in both rubber-coated and cast iron finish, with the handles making them easy to carry. And Classic plates offer an old-school feel to your home gym.
What exercises can you do with a rack package?
Rack packages are designed to provide a huge range of functionality. While all of our racks allow you the stability to squat and bench, they all also contain a host of additional features, allowing you to work out your whole body. All of those with pulleys allow you to perform back exercises and isolation work, others have equipment like pull-up handles and dip stations allowing you to perform (you guessed it) pull-ups and dips.
